First of all, look at those beautiful baby blue diamonds sitting in the middle of this woman's head. Jennifer Aniston still has IT. Still throwing high 90's. She's like if Barry Sanders was still playing football and rushing for 2,000 yards a season. But, because it's Barry and Jennifer, he's still on the Lions and she still doesn't have a guy or a baby. I know she's married to Justin Theroux and I think he's stupendous. I also think she was sorta like "fine, this one will do". But I digest.
The trailer above is for Office Christmas Party. Obviously the trailer isn't new, but the comedy will be released in theaters December 9th, 2016. To me, this movie feels like it has Superbad comedy potential. Superbad is an utterly re-watchable comedy with a very simple premise and a star studded cast. Now, at the time Superbad was filmed and released most of those actors weren't considered big stars. But, go back now and think about how many big name actors had a role in the 2007 comedy.
According to IMDB the plot is as follows: "When his uptight CEO sister threatens to shut down his branch, the branch manager throws an epic Christmas party in order to land a big client and save the day, but the party gets way out of hand...". Such a simple, and almost dumb, premise. But this movie looks hilarious and fun with the all-star cast to match. Jennifer Anniston, Olivia Munn, TJ Miller, Jason Bateman, Kate McKinnon, Rob Corddry, Vanessa Bayer. I'd say those are the "bigger" names. But the cast also features a lot of people you'll recognize by face before name. Such as: Jamie Chung, Jillian Bell, Karan Soni, Matt Walsh, Randall Park, and Courtney B. Vance. That's a whole lotta funny talent working with the comedy directing duo of Josh Gordon and Will Speck. I don't typically get excited to go see comedies theaters, but this will be appointment movie watching.
